Naama’s exclusive boutique attracts women who wish to classically and gracefully design an image which will grant them an unforgettable alluring look.
We met with Naama, a woman whose creativity and joyfulness are an inseparable part of her character, to ask about the bridal gowns trends in the upcoming future.
What is your style of design?
The collection of 2014 styles vary from playful and sexy vintage to classic and modest.
Are there trends in bridal gowns?
Of course there are. We all saw the tsunami of mermaid and long tail dresses, which still star this season on the white carpet down the aisle to the chuppah.
This year, for example, I have launched a collection called “the assortment of changing designs”, it is an assemblage of all the up-to-date fashion styles.
So what are the up-to-date styles?
Vintage in every form- historical, rustic, romantic, mermaid and long tail dresses with a low back, Hollywood chic (who said we can’t live in a dream world?…) and semi- sheer but modest dresses (after all, we are in Jerusalem); Sleeves and straps embroidered with lace which grant a gracious and becoming look to the bride’s arms or provide coverage if necessary.
In the sphere of textures and colors, the leading trend is mixing old rose and powder. Similarly fashionable now, are the fabric combinations and materials such as pearl belts, delicate buckles to gold covered metal belts.
The key element which is common to all my trends is a clean line; first and foremost I favor the clean and elegant style above all others.
So how do you know which goes to whom?
Well, we all know that knowing how to dress well is an art in itself, and that is why we need a designer.
There are endless cuts, fabric combinations and design ideas. The trick is to individually customize for each woman her own personal style (styling) so it fits her body’s silhouette and compliments her unique contour. From here it’s only a short distance from reaching the target, choosing the right dress. And having good chemistry with the professional can only benefit the journey.
What about comfort?
We all appreciate outstanding online and magazines fashion productions (I myself try to impress you every year), but when it comes down to the real choice- I believe that nearly all will agree that feeling beautiful, clean, precise and comfortable does it. Comfort is the hottest trend in town, anyways in my boutique.
Therefore, this year most of my gowns have a touch of vintage. They are soft and flowy adorned with handmade laces, embroideries and pearls, supplemented by designed delicate or heavy metal belts or a dominant neck jewelry that can provide a twist for anyone that seeks a fashionably dramatic look.
Good news for the religious brides-to-be: this line allows a simple tone down of the models, and still preserves a smart and fetching look.
And now for the nuts and bolts- how much does it actually cost?
Another one of our successfully achieved trends this year is the cost- conscious SMART BRIDE.
The market is flooded with countless styles and immoderate prices. I genuinely believe in paying attention to my customers and providing their wishes and needs. My team and I, through three intensive months, tailored a commercial plan for the smart bride, where the boutique offers the bride-to-be a new wedding dress (as well as custom- made), a veil, a shawl for the chuppah, makeup, hairdo, designer jewelry, accessories, styling and more. All under one roof and for only 5900 NIS.
